about

The Downtown Pensacola Parking Management District (DPMD) began in February 2008 after more than two years of analysis between the City of Pensacola, Escambia County, and the Pensacola Downtown Improvement Board (DIB). As a comprehensive downtown parking management system, it serves customers and visitors to downtown while supporting the growth of downtown businesses through;

  • the provision of below-market parking fees
  • free parking locations
  • retail validation programs

DPMD strives to treat parking as a beneficial resource in Downtown Pensacola that is consistent in its access and easily recognizable. There are currently 8,526 parking spaces managed by the Downtown Parking Management District. Of those, 1654 are free parking locations.

Core Purpose

To develop and operate a parking system in Downtown Pensacola that provides affordable parking options for both short term and long term parking needs and that views each user as a valued customer while providing exemplary operations, maintenance, marketing, customer service and safety with the result that parking becomes, in every aspect, an asset and advantage for Downtown Pensacola.
